Non-fiction writers that can bring a story to life.

Writing non-fiction and history entail more than just putting facts on paper. In order to draw the reader in and make them feel a part of the tale, a writer has to unveil the story in three-dimensions, bringing the characters, settings and events to life. Here are a few non-fiction writers who have succeeded in doing just that. Can you add to the list?

Richard Kurson – Shadow Divers

Mark Bowden – Black Hawk Down

Martin Russ - Breakout

Hampton Sides – Ghost Soldiers

Paul Jeffers – In the Roughrider’s Shadow
